Riley Baker is an educational consulting firm located in Northfield, Illinois.  I am Stacey Riley
Baker and I started Riley Baker Educational Consulting in 1996, an organization that has now evolved into a talented team of professional counselors who work with students from eight grade on in making the best college choices for them.

Private college counseling is not for everyone.  In fact, according to a recent Crain’s Chicago Business article (May 2013), Jim Conroy, Director of College Counseling at New Trier High School revealed that probably only 25% of their students use these services.

If you do decide private counseling is right for you, we welcome you to explore our site.  Regardless of whether or not we work together, we are confident that in reviewing the information we share, you will know more about how to evaluate a college counseling firm and will be better equipped to guide your own child through the process.

We recognize that the journey to college can be a stressful time for both families and students.  Our advice is to take a deep breath, learn as much as you can about your options, and use this process to begin what we hope will be an exciting and successful journey.
